Window shutters are stable coverings for windows. Shutters can be horizontal or vertical stiles made out of wood or glass or any kind of fabric. Shutters can be used in the interior or exterior of the home. Interior or exterior shutters are decided based on the location, climate and needs.
Most of the interior shutters use traditional shutters also known as California shutters or plantation shutters. These shutters are typically used in tropical regions or warmer climates.
Exterior shutters typically use hardwood but other materials like PVC can also be used. These shutters are used in French influenced architecture or in areas where hurricane is a threat.
